未曽有の被害をもたらした東北関東大震災。
多くの方が大切な命を落とし、
そしてまた、未だ行方がわからない方も大勢いらっしゃいます。
戦後最大となった今回の地震は、日本酒を醸す酒蔵にも
壊滅的な被害をおよぼしました。
津波で蔵ごと流された蔵や、
搾る直前のもろみごとなくなってしまった蔵も多く、
これは現地だけでなく、業界全体にとっても大きな打撃です。
我が国最古の食中酒であり、
国酒である日本酒。
屈指の酒どころである東北の酒を絶やさぬよう、
「Save The 東北の酒」実行員会は、
日本酒をもって被災された酒蔵を応援してゆきます。

~For Japanese sake lovers~
The Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake, the biggest to have hit Japan on record, resulted in unprecedented damage in Tohoku region.
Many people lost their lives and a large number are still missing.
The disaster also caused tremendous damage to Japanese sake breweries and the industry as a whole.
Some breweries have been completely destroyed by the tsunami and many suffered damage to the fermenting rice just before it was refined to produce the sake.
Japanese sake is the nation's oldest food-friendly and is regarded as the national drink.
The Tohoku region is recognised as producing some of the finest sake.
The Save The Sake from Tohoku planning committee aims to help damaged sake breweries to maintain their business in the wake of the recent natural disaster.
